Sorry I haven’t been updating this blog recently, but the main reason is because so many exciting things have happened in my life that I’ve barely had a moment to myself, let alone write about my experiences. But now I shall catch you all up on the fun things I’ve been doing, so stay tuned for future blog posts!
The most important thing that has happened in my life is, drum roll……I HAVE A NEW JOB! Yes that’s right, I have left my old job in the travel business and have transitioned into the lovely world of PR, and I couldn’t be happier! While at the time I’m writing this, I’ve only been at this new job for a few weeks, I can’t even begin to tell you how much happier I am with work and life in general. This has been an amazing switch and I can’t wait to update you all! So like I said, catch up blog posts will be coming very soon!
I stupidly gave myself the work task of creating trip itineraries around the world. I say stupidly not because it is a bad idea but because it is giving me major wanderlust and I just want to travel to all of the places I’m researching.
As social media and marketing manager/director/whatever I want to call myself, one of my duties is to find relevant posts and/or pictures and post them to the company sites. On Monday, I posted an article titled “56 Travel Bloggers Reveal Their Best Bucket List Ideas,” and each of the 56 picked their top 3 things they want to do before they kick the bucket. Hello followers! It’s been 4 months since I returned from the journey of a lifetime, and unless you’re my mother (hi mom), you probably have no idea what I’ve been up to. Well, I’m back in beautiful LA, and I’m fully employed! I’m the Marketing Director for…(drum roll) a travel agency! Pretty perfect, am I right? Life has actually been going really great, and I hope to keep this upward trend going for a long time.
No major trips have happened since I returned home, and there probably won’t be any for a while. Just a few weekend road trips. I will be sure to keep you up to date on any and all future adventures, big and small.
What a crazy adventure this has been! I’ve been home for just 2 and ½ weeks and it feels like my trip happened months ago. That was the longest I’d ever been away from home, and I don’t think I’ll ever go away for that long again. Not that it wasn’t an amazing experience, because it was, but I just got so exhausted, mentally and physically, that the thought of doing that again drains me.
I have just 12 days left until I embark on what I hope will be the adventure of my lifetime. Where exactly am I going, you may ask? The holy land, the land of milk and honey, a place I am excited to call my home: ISRAEL. For those of you who don’t know already, or who have somehow stumbled across this blog randomly, I will be spending the next 6 months abroad. 5 of these glorious months will be spent in Israel, and the other month (or longer, depending on my mood) has yet to be determined.
