Happy New Year–Jewish version! I celebrated a happy, sweet new year with my great family and my great guy.
I spent the day working from my parents’ empty house, channeling my inner Jewish mother and baking challah. I made two: a plain one and, wait for it, one stuffed with cinnamon apples! They turned out amazing, much to my family’s excitement. I wrapped them up and brought them over to my grandma’s house for Rosh Hashana dinner!
My parents were out of town for the holiday, so I wrangled Adam into coming with me. It didn’t take too much arm twisting, as there was plenty of delicious food and fun conversations to go around. My grandma also sat us at the children’s table. I have resigned myself to the fact that I will forever be sat at that table…until I have my own children, and maybe not even then. Overall, a wonderful night with my amazing family!
