I Never Left the Valley

Although I technically moved out of my parents’ house in the Valley, I find myself spending quite a bit of my time there. This was one of those days.

The previous evening, my friend Brendan came over and we watched The House Bunny. Before we knew it, it was 2AM and I was crying inside knowing I had to wake up at 7:30 to attend a workout class with my mom. I somehow showed up on time and powered through the class. I showered and headed over to Melissa’s house, where she cooked Mel and I a delicious homemade brunch of two separate frittatas, waffles and a homemade berry sauce. It was amazing! The three of us talked about life for a while before we headed out. On my way back to my parents’ house, I stopped at my grandparents’ house, and ended up running errands for them, prolonging my valley stay even further! Finally, I was able to head back to my apartment.

I then met up with Shoshana and Allen at The Grove, where we enjoyed a wonderful meal from “Loteria Grill” in the Farmer’s Market. Afterwards, we stopped by my favorite candy shop, “Sockerbit,” for an evening treat. I then plopped on my bed and did not move until I woke up the next morning for work!
