My coworkers and I had a work happy hour to say goodbye to one of our own, and it was a weird experience.

After giving a presentation at work for lunch (yikes), I was more than looking forward to going to a happy hour with my coworkers. Unfortunately, the cause of the happy hour was to say goodbye to my coworker Marla, whom I’ve gotten close to in the months I’ve been at this job (read about our fun time at the Blake Shelton concert). We headed to “The Den on Sunset” to say our farewells (just for now, at least).
I had been to The Den once before, but not in a while. We arrived in time to take advantage of their happy hour, and boy did we take advantage of it! Apps were shared all around (the best dishes were the pita and hummus and the German pretzel) and drinks were had by all (I had the “Cucumberita, which was very refreshing!).
Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals was on the TV, and we were all very into it (especially Marla, a die-hard Cavs fan). We shared the food and stories about our time at the company before saying goodbye.
Although it was sad to see Marla leave, I have a feeling I will be seeing her again soon!
