Coming up with a wine-related pun that didn’t sound extremely stupid was way more difficult than I thought it would be. Anyway, there was wine consumed during this post. Lots of wine.
I had yet another busy day in store for me. All good things, of course, but busy nonetheless. First order of “business” was breakfast with Chelsea! We decided that we’d meet at “Joan’s on Third” in Studio City. What we forgot to realize was that the farmer’s market was happening right in front of the restaurant and parking was practically nonexistent. Fortunately we both found spots within a short walking distance and walked into the restaurant to place our orders.
I had an omelet with goat cheese, spinach and sauteed onions, Chelsea got their breakfast sandwich, and we split their delicious hash browns! Such a fun little brunch/lunch spot, despite the parking struggles. If you do come on a Sunday, expect more of a family crowd.
I headed straight to work out with my trainer Erik after breakfast (not my brightest idea, I’m well aware). I then raced home, as it was time for my dad’s wine tasting! Dozens of people came by to taste delicious kosher-for-Passover wines at my home. (I believe my dad was pouring 13 wines – all great!). It was a lot of fun, as it always is every year. Check out his wines at: www.D-Cantor.com!
Once the crowds cleared out at around 7:30, some of my oldest family friends remained. We ordered from one of our favorite local Mexican restaurants, “La Fogata.” It’s definitely a hidden, authentic treasure, and my family orders from there about once a week. I usually go for their chicken tostada! We chatted and ate, and I promptly passed out at 9:30pm from an exhausting, but fun-filled, weekend!
