With Hanukkah in full swing, I’ve made sure to celebrate one way or another every night. So this was one of my favorites.
I had an crazy stressful day at work. Not that I’m really complaining, because I much prefer being busy at work to being bored, but it was just a long day. Never could my timing for planning a fun evening have been more perfect than it was this evening, as Danelle and I were going to celebrate the glorious holiday that is Chrismukkah!
I arrived at Danelle’s after work and promptly changed into my brand new Batman onesie. She put on her Mickey onesie and we were ready to begin. She gave me a Christmas-themed Darth Vader ornament and some Disney buttons in a purple Chewbacca stocking. She knows me so well 🙂
Part one of the evening? Light the Hanukkah candles for night #4! I pulled up the transliteration for the blessings so Danelle so she could follow along. It was a ton of fun. Part two was eating pizza and watching Danelle’s favorite Christmas movie, “Belle’s Enchanted Christmas.” My personal favorite part of the movie? The extremely stereotypical Jewish New Yorker axe. Gotta love Disney!
Part three was the fun part: decorating festive desserts! We made candy dreidels (pictured) and sugar cookies (not pictured because they are very sad-looking). Both were super yummy and very sugary. We both crashed and called it an early evening. A much needed relaxing night with an amazing friend!
