There’s nothing better than being with family on your favorite holiday. At least, for me there isn’t.
Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday. I guess the combination of the whole family gathering together combined with the amazing special food is just so warm and comforting. One of my lowest points last year while I was in Israel was having to be away from my family on Thanksgiving. It was the first time I didn’t spend the holiday with them and it was heartbreaking. But thankfully, I don’t think I’ll have to spend any more without them!
This Thanksgiving wasn’t special or different than any other year, but it was amazing. The food, the company, the atmosphere (it is finally cold in LA, so that helped to add a little fall/winter ambience), the lack of politics talk (it can get a little crazy in the family). Everything was just perfect, except that my brother wasn’t able to come down from school and join us. Here are a few snapshots from the evening!
Things I’m thankful for this year:
- My amazing family who supports me through all of the craziness in my life, especially my wonderful parents.
- My awesome friends, old and new, who each bring me happiness in their own way.
- My new job (and the fact that I no longer have to deal with the old job).
- Living in this crazy city and finding new and fun things that I love about it!
