December is fully on its way and it has been in the mid-to-high 70’s all week. Gotta love being in the desert, am I right? Another fun weekend has ensued, so take yet another peek into my life.
Day 88: Thursday, 12/4/2014
I worked from home today, as I was in need of a change of pace. I ended up getting quite a bit of work done, despite spending the day in pajamas. Hey, don’t judge. You know you’ve all done it too. I was able to work in peace and quiet, with my own kitchen at my disposal. Yay!
After work, I started to do some research for my travels after my program ends! While I’m not entirely sure where I want to go, it was fun to look at cool European destinations. I will keep you all posted on my upcoming travel plans!
Later that night, I met up with another AEPhi alumna from my chapter, Smadar! She was one of the founding sisters of the sorority before we got National backing. It was so much fun to catch up with her and her (actual, not sorority) family! We went to a couple bars to get drinks and talked for hours.
It was nice to see a familiar face after being here for nearly 3 months. Looking forward to seeing a few more familiar faces who are coming on Birthright this month!
Day 89: Friday, 12/5/2014
I woke up kind of late, as I hit my head pretty hard against the wall while trying to fall asleep, and then couldn’t fall asleep. I can be a total klutz sometimes.
Later that night, Daniel invited me back to his grandparents’ house for dinner! I excitedly accepted. He also invited one of his coworkers, Lyoka (pronounced like the Spanish word “Loca”), who is on the October session of our program with my friend Myriam (see previous post). We had a delicious meal, and then took in the view from their 17th floor balcony!
I went back to Daniel’s apartment and we ended up talking for hours about everything. I then headed home and to bed.
Day 90: Saturday, 12/6/2014
Today was a boring, stay-at-home day. I did some more research for my trip and just relaxed. A lovely Shabbat. I also ordered a Domino’s pizza. It was actually pretty good, but not as good as in the States.
Sorry this wasn’t a super interesting post. But like I’ve said before, not every day in a person’s life can be full of action. Talk to you all next time!
