I’m sure all of you have heard the term “Halloweekend,” meaning that the holiday of Halloween lasts more than just one day. For me, it honestly didn’t, but I couldn’t think of a better title for the post. So here you go!
Day 52: Wednesday, 10/29/2014
Another day at work. Many of my days are going to start off like that, unless something of extreme importance happens. But if I can’t remember my day less than a week later while I’m writing this post, then you better believe it wasn’t worth writing about.
When I returned home from work, I witnessed Lilah cooking up a storm. We were having just 2 other people over for dinner, but we made it into a nice affair. There was a ridiculous amount of food, and it was all delicious. Here’s the spread:
We like getting fancy at Motskin, apparently. We had a lovely time, and randomly a large group of people came over and ate our multitude of leftovers. It was rather hilarious.
Day 53: Thursday, 10/30/2014
So today, I decided to work from home. I woke up and was feeling okay, not great, but just didn’t feel like going into work. Don’t worry, I did everything I was supposed to do, but I was just super exhausted from being sick. Anyway, I needed to rest up for my night of Halloween fun! Lilah’s work was sponsoring the opening of a new club in Tel Aviv called “Magdalena,” whose grand opening was a massive Halloween party.
Now what did I dress up as? If you haven’t already seen the photos, I think you can still guess that I went as one of two things: a superhero or a Disney character. I went with superhero, mainly because that’s what I had in my closet. The winner was….
Batman! You can’t tell from this photo, but my socks have capes attached to them. Frickin capes! Thanks, Hallie 🙂 Here are a few more pictures from the evening. In order to see all my photos though, check out my Facebook album (viewable in the “My Photos” tab at the top of my blog).
There are a few more photos, but I don’t want to blow up the post, so do be sure to check them out on Facebook if you haven’t already!
Okay, so now we’ve arrived at the club after a fun pre-party at Levinsky. It was really cool! There were two separate rooms in the club, one themed like Heaven (playing EDM and mainstream music), the other like Hell (playing Hip Hop musci). I spent a good amount of time in both rooms, listening to the different DJs and running into people I knew. Pretty late into the evening, I actually ran into someone I went to high school with! What a small, Jewish world we all live in, am I right?
I didn’t get home until about 3:30 in the morning, but it was a very fun night and well worth it!
Day 54: Friday, 10/31/2014
Happy Halloween! We woke up to no internet in the house. What a terrible trick… So what did we all do? Talked. What? Talking? What is that? Yes, we just talked and bonded. None of us went out that night, which was nice. Yes, another boring Friday.
Day 55: Saturday, 11/1/2014
Can’t believe it’s November already! Our internet was still out, so I read today. I’m about 2/3 of the way through “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn as I’m typing this right now. Go read it, it’s awesome and creepy, the perfect combination. That night, I went out for drinks with a friend again. Definitely nice to get out of the apartment every once in a while (I’m sure my mom is super happy to read that).
I think I’ve spent enough alone time for a while; time for me to get back into the social realm. Be prepared for more interesting posts, okay? You can hold me to that. Actually, the next post is going to be SUPER interesting, and that I promise you.
